From a UK perspective I cannot understand how the US doesn't have a national health care system like we do.
My sister was taken ill in New York and her ordeal was terrible.
It baffles me that a country like the US has such a poor health care system still today.
I think maybe it is because the UK health care system was built after the war and today it may simply be too expensive to set up.
Even still it is crazy the system that exists in the richest country on earth today.

I am a first time reader of your Blog, and think it great. I manage a health insurance agency that sell individual and small group health insurance in Illinois. I hope Washington will change the tax status of individual health insurance premiums in 2008. With more and more Americans paying for health insurance individually, its time they receive the same pre-tax status for premiums the large companies have enjoyed for years. Please visit our site GizmoHealth.com, I would love your feed back.
